Why Low Carb Diets Are Bad For Losing Weight

You hear about them all the time. Low carb diets this, low carb diets that. Every celebrity is on this diet and everyone you know at work, at school or anywhere is on this diet. Well, if that’s all they’re using, they’ve been on it for a while and they’re completely healthy, then they must not be following it completely or they’re lying!

Why? Because low carb diets, for a short period of time do work to help you lose weight, but only for a short period of time, like 2-3 weeks. But if you stick with low carb diets for a longer period of time, you’ll definitely be losing something other than weight and you’ll see negative side effects with your health.

Don’t get me wrong. There are plenty of foods out there that you should avoid, and most of them are very high in carbs. And these foods are great to avoid for just general health, not only just to lose weight.

But the other side of that coin is that carbohydrates are also a very necessary nutrient for your body to function properly. So a long term weight loss diet completely devoid of carbohydrates is not a good idea. A short one is fine since it’s pretty much like fasting for a few weeks, which won’t do much damage.

Here’s another fact that will show you how bad long term low carb diets are, outside of weight loss. There is a risk of osteoporosis for women from long term low carb diet use. Most low carb diets will tell you to increase the amounts of protein you eat.

Normally, that’s a great thing because one of the building blocks of your body is protein. But, like anything else, too much protein spells disaster. Excess protein from meat can leech calcium from your bones, which can increase the risk of osteoporosis. Why does your body do this? Because protein can cause acid build up in your blood and your body removes the calcium to balance out your blood.

Okay, so you say that’s a woman’s problem. Here’s one for both. Your brain uses about 20% of glucose from your body. Now, glucose is a simple sugar. Simple sugars are carbohydrates.

Get the connection? If you decrease the intake of carbohydrates from your diet, you are starving your brain of an important nutrient for healthy brain function. That’s definitely not something anyone wants, whether you’re trying to lose weight or not.

But specifically with weight loss, low carb diets stop working if you use them over a long period of time because at that point you won’t be losing weight or fat. At that point, you’ve already lost most, if not all, of the fat stores in your body. The reason low carb diets work so great in the beginning is because your body is using up the fat stores in your body since you aren’t eating carbs, which provide energy to your body.

So naturally, your body uses up your fat stores. But once those are gone, your body turns to muscles and body tissue. So clearly, you are not losing fat at that point, which is what you would want. You’ll be losing the parts of you that are helpful to real weight loss. Carbs are sources of energy for your body so after the initial 2-3 weeks of the low carb diet, re-introduce healthy carbs to your body and you will be in good shape and on the path to healthy weight loss.

Looking For A Fat Smash Diet?

Finding the best way to lose weight is a lot easier than many think it is. The problem is that many people want for quick results, and it just does not work that way. You have to do the hard work, and then wait to see the the results.

Looking for a fat smash diet does not always have to be done quickly but by constant discipline and healthy program and one example of these is by joining a summer weight loss program instead of undergoing a medical procedure.

As you grow older, you will find that you have a whole lot less energy than in the days of youth. All that activity starts to desert you, and you begin to add another pound and pound. Knowing this is unhealthy, you have to find a way to lose all the weight you gain, and sincerely, you should be considering something like liposuction or natural way– summer weight loss program and other exercises..

Many of us are, in nature, prone to gaining weight, and it happens to them whether they like it or not. But, there are individuals who accept it and live on like that; and then there are also individuals who do something to lose the weight. Which kind of person are you?

If you are focused, there is nothing you cannot fulfill. It does not matter if you weighed half a thousand pounds, if you really eager to, you could lose it all. Some might have a decision that surgery is the way for them, yet for you it can be something more practical… something physical, like exercises.

As for additional information, diabetes is a condition that can cause you to lose weight unduly. It is caused by poor insulin in your body system, which has resulted from excess carbohydrate consumption. By constantly regulating your carbohydrate intake and supplementing your body with insulin, you can keep the process in check.

Majority of people (if not all) tend to lose weight to get fit. This of course includes getting rid of excess fat and other body fluids in a hurry, and many times, we never get them back. It is good for the people who make fun of it, because they do it on purpose and they are earning their results. Those who are not should ignore the responses they get from many others who fail to grasp the intensity of the situation.

Another information that should be given importance has something to do with, when you lose body fluids at the same time as you are losing body fat, you are asking for trouble. All that loss can do severe damage to your body that you might not appreciate. This is why a consultant or physician is very helpful as you enter into your weight loss program, so that you do not make a mistake that could put your life at risk.

Most doctors will tell you exactly that if you need to lose weight, you should adjust the way you eat and make some exercise in your daily life. Simply, it is because your weight in a sense is directly proportional to the amount of food that you eat daily, and inversely proportional to the amount of exercise program you do.

Celebrity Diet Secrets – The Main Celebrity Diet Secret You May Not Know About

We see them on magazine covers, in movies, on TV. Their images shimmer and glow.

With their size 0 bodies and cellulite free legs we wonder – how do they do it? What do they know that the rest of us don’t?

Many magazines boast that they reveal celebrity diet secrets. However we’ve heard a lot of it before.

Jennifer Aniston likes the Zone. Gwyneth Paltrow favors a macrobiotic diet.

Carol Alt likes the raw food diet. Carrie Underwood follows a vegetarian diet. And much of the celebrity diet tips are common sense.

Don’t eat after 7 p.m. Have 5-6 small meals a day. Don’t load up on carbs for dinner.

Get plenty of sleep. Drink 8-10 glasses of water a day. And of course: Cardio, cardio, cardio.

But there is one celebrity diet secret no one usually talks about.

Here’s the thing that sets celebrities apart. Unlike most people – celebrities are a brand. It’s their job to look good.

And they can’t build the brand all by themselves. They know their time is precious and they can’t do it all on their own.

So they hire experts in their fields to help them build their brand. They have people to do their hair, makeup artists to do their makeup, publicists to advertise them and stylists to dress them.

And when it comes to food, most stars hires experts to cook for them also. Sometimes it’s a personal chef – but other times it’s a diet delivery service.

This delivery service prepares their food for them and then all they do is eat it. Having their food prepared for them helps them to stay their svelte, beautiful selves.

Are they on to something? Probably.

In fact, in a recent study done by Brown University, people attempting to lose weight by eating prepared meals lost an average of 31% more weight than those who prepared their own meals. Having help makes losing weight easier (and sometimes even faster) than if you do it on your own.

Diet delivery is now catching on to the mainstream in a big way. People are realizing how much easier it is to lose weight by having your meals prepared for you.

And it’s much more affordable than it used to be – with most plans under $20 a day. This is actually less than many people are already spending on food so it could even save you money.

And the variety of meal plans to choose from is growing. You can get low fat plans, low carb plans, Zone-compliant meals, vegetarian meals and even gourmet, restaurant quality meals.

So the main celebrity diet secret that most people don’t talk about is that celebrities have help. They hire experts to help them stay slim and eat well. And it’s obviously working.

The good news is that anyone can now afford to get that same expert help and lose weight just the like the stars do – with diet home delivery. There are several diet delivery services that not only serve the stars – but they also offer their services to the general public.

So if you’re looking for an easier way to lose weight – why not do the same things celebrities do? Get your meals prepared for you. It’s easier, will save you time and can make losing weight a lot more enjoyable.
